The Bremont Tornado IDS watch available to Tornado operators and direct support personnel of the GR1/4 aircraft

The new Bremont Tornado Interdictor/Strike (IDS) watch project is a unique and bespoke set of two watches available to operators and direct support personnel of the UK’s GR1/4 aircraft since its first flight in 1980. The first model is based on the MBIII timepiece, the second smaller model is based on the Solo37 timepiece. Both designs feature ‘GR1’ at 1 o’clock, ‘GR4’ at 4 o’clock, the aircraft silhouette with full GR roll equipment and wings swept to 67 degrees at 6 o’clock along with the date ‘1982-2019’ to mark the period of front line service. Featured at 9 o’clock is the Tornado Force logo. On the reverse of the MBIII timepiece, a custom rotor featuring ‘TORNADO’ can be seen through the open exhibition case back.

The Tornado IDS MBIII model is priced at £2,275 and the Solo37 model is priced at £1,540. Both prices include UK VAT and shipping within the UK. The MBIII model includes one calfskin leather strap fitted with a pin buckle and a Nylon NATO. The Solo37 model includes one calfskin leather strap fitted with a pin buckle and one Temple Island Rubber strap. Both models will feature a personal engraving (up to 8 digits) and watch serial number engraved on the case back and will be provided with a Bremont leather watch wallet, Bremont watch tool and a three years’ warranty. It is possible to purchase the metal bracelet for an additional £295 (retail £575). Our equivalent civilian models retail at £4,195 (MBIII) and £2,695 (Solo37).

We are presently accepting orders for these unique Tornado IDS timepieces. In due time, Bremont will contact you by email, asking you to process your deposit of £750.00 to secure your order. We will have three methods of payment available (online, by phone or bank transfer). Once the required order numbers are reached, the project will go “live” and production will begin. We hope to have the first watches ready for release Winter 2017. Once your chosen timepiece is complete, you will be contacted with your online invoice. Your watch will then be shipped shortly after balance payment.

Delivery to BFPO addresses

Bremont is able to deliver to most BFPO addresses. Depending on the BFPO location, your order may be automatically or conditionally eligible for VAT exemption. In all cases, Bremont will provide you with a ‘BFPO Exemption Form’ to complete, sign and return to us ahead of final payment. You will not be asked to pay the VAT if your BFPO address is eligible.

If delivery is to take place outside of the UK, please email military@bremont.com for a quote on the appropriate pricing as additional charges may apply for countries with GST, local taxes or import duty. A flat rate charge of £75 will be added to all international shipments, the service used: FedEx International Priority.

Charitable Donation

This unique Tornado GR watch has been designed by 2 current members of the Tornado Force. There is an additional £25 added to the price of each watch. This is to fund a collective charitable donation to the RAF100 charity; a collaboration of the RAF Benevolent Fund, Royal Air Forces Association, RAF Charitable Trust Enterprises and RAF Museum. If you do not wish to donate to this worthy cause, please advise Bremont upon ordering.


Terms and Conditions

Global Bremont Watch Military and Special Projects Division Terms and Conditions

By placing an order with us, you are automatically accepting our Global Bremont Watch Military and Special Projects Division Terms and Conditions. To ensure the exclusivity and eligibility of all Bremont Military watch projects, a Bremont Military watch must be purchased by an authorised member of the specific organisation only and must not be bought with the intention of resale onto the open market within the 3 years warranty period. If your watch is sold within 3 years from the date of receipt, the watch warranty will automatically be void. We also reserve the right to refuse further watch orders from a military customer who does not oblige with our Bremont Military and Special Projects Terms and Conditions.

For military watch projects, each individual placing an order will be asked to provide proof of military affiliation by using a military email address or providing information about service time and military base, a copy of a military ID card, a copy of a DD-214 form (U.S. customers only) or other relevant training or certification documentation (please redact any sensitive personal information or pictures from the information provided). All military information provided will remain confidential.

Personal Engraving

All watches bought directly from the Bremont Military and Special Projects Division must feature a personal engraving to qualify for the subsidised military pricing quoted. Bremont reserves the right to reject an engraving request if it does not meet our engraving guidelines.

Order Amendments – New Project Orders

We will contact each customer by email to confirm their order specification prior to beginning production. At this point we will allow for any last minute changes to your case finish, barrel colour or personal engraving and provide a cut-off date that these changes must be requested by. Any changes requested after this date will be subject to an additional fee (excluding watch strap and accessories changes).

Order Amendments – Individual Project Orders

Once your deposit payment is received, your order specification will be provided to the Workshop. At this point, any changes to your case finish, barrel colour or personal engraving will be subject to an additional fee (excluding watch strap and accessories changes).

International Shipments

The pricing quoted on the project order form will indicate whether shipping charges will be included in the watch price. Dependent on the shipment location, Bremont will ship via FedEx, Royal Mail or DHL courier services and the final total of your order will be subject to local duties, GST, customs, import and VAT charges. To confirm final pricing based on the shipment location please contact the Military and Special Projects Team.

Handling Fee

*The Handling Fee of 3% is to cover the additional costs of assembling individual orders instead of a group, this will be introduced on all individual orders from 1st March 2018. The lead time for an individual order would then be 8-10 weeks unless confirmed otherwise. The handling fee will not apply to a watch buy of over 5 individual approved orders for an already existing Military Project.

Payment

Cash, all major Credit/Debit Cards, Bankers Draft or BACS Transfer are all acceptable methods of payment. All goods remain the property of Bremont until paid for in full.

Cancellation Policy for New Project Orders

Following receipt of your deposit payment, each customer has 60 days to request a refund via telephone, email, letter or in person. Refunds within this time are subject to a £25 cancellation fee to cover any subsequent administrative expenses. After 60 days, this deposit payment is retained to cover the costs incurred by us for the design and sampling process. Once a customer is informed that their order (watch) is complete, they have 90 days to complete full payment or propose a payment plan. Failure to complete payment or agree alternate arrangements for the finished product within 90 days of completion will result in cancellation of the order and loss of the deposit payment.

Cancellation Policy for Individual Orders

Following receipt of your deposit payment, an individual has 28 days to request a refund via telephone, email, letter or in person. Refunds within this time are subject to a £25 cancellation fee to cover any subsequent administrative expenses. After 28 days, this deposit payment is retained to cover the costs incurred by us for the purchase of the custom components and production costs to assemble your watch. Once an individual is informed that their order (watch) is complete, the individual has 90 days to complete full payment or propose a payment plan. Failure to complete payment or agree alternate arrangements for the finished product within 90 days of completion will result in cancellation of the order and loss of the deposit payment.

Customers purchasing from the Bremont Boutiques or Bremont Direct have 14 days in which to cancel your order from receipt of your goods for a refund providing they are in an unworn condition with all of the original paper work and packaging, all goods must be returned within 14 days of cancelling your order unless alternate arrangements are agreed with Bremont. Customers must return their goods to the original place of purchase, the cost of returning your watch will be the responsibility of the customer. Once the goods are received and have passed inspection, a full refund will be issued by the original means of payment and this will be subject to a £25 cancellation fee to cover any subsequent administrative expenses. Further fees may apply should any returned goods fail inspection.
